In accordance with COVID-19 safety requirements, the Committee initially arranged the 75th anniversary of the Catonsville parade and fireworks display on July 4th.
As long as the committee can obtain all permits, the parade and fireworks are scheduled to take place on July 3 (Saturday). Permits from Baltimore County and Maryland are awaiting approval. According to the committee’s website, the final decision of the annual celebration depends on state and local regulations.
The July 4th parade will be held on a rainy or sunny day from Frederick Road and Montrose Avenue at 3 pm on July 3rd. The Family Fun Festival is scheduled to start at Catonsville High School at 6:30 pm, followed by a fireworks display at 9 pm. : When rain occurs at 30 pm, fireworks will occur at 9:30 pm on July 4th.
Special events on July 2 and July 3 will be announced soon. The committee hopes to strive for a comprehensive celebration on July 3, which will include cycling to Fort McHenry, children’s games and a concert at Christian Temple.
Residents can help raise funds by visiting Food Truck on Thursday at Food Truck in Christian Temple, Edmondson Avenue 5820. Participants are encouraged to visit www.catonsvillecelebrations.org to submit a parade application.
